Delhi,
the Capital City of India and the heart of business and
cultural activities is well connected to all world capitals.
Delhi airports are so busy that every 2 1/2 minutes either a
flight takes off or lands. Delhi is also an epicenter of
tourism. It has great tourist spots to offer with rich
historical monuments and India's biggest temple complex named
Akshardham is located in the eastern part of the city. Delhi
is also proud to offer world class metro network. |
 |
Pragati Maidan, the nerve centre of
Printpack India 2009, is connected to the main business hub
of the capital city Connaught Place (Rajiv Chowk) with most ultra
modern metro service which is connecting western, northern and
north-eastern part of the Delhi state. Delhi Metro Network's main
mission is to cover entire Delhi state and NCR (National Capital
Region) by the year 2021.
Delhi Metro Network is of world
class standard with regard to safety, reliability, punctuality,
and comfort besides customer satisfaction. All the Metro station
are well equipped with modern escalators and several safety
devices to ensure the comfort and safety of passengers.
Delhi/New Delhi is the second Indian
city to get a metro rail system and its network is considerably
more high-tech than the one in Kolkata. The trains, used on the
network built by Japanese-Korean consortium, are comparable with
those used on the world's most advanced metro systems.
The country's finest museums,
whether it is the National Museum, the Rail Museum, the Crafts
Museum or the Museum of Natural History and Science are here.
Every state of the country has its own emporium in Delhi.
Delhi is a shopper's paradise, with
modern malls, state emporiums and traditionals bazaars. January is
a particularly beautiful month, with flowers in full bloom in the
numerous parks and gardens in the city and the best season to have
a congregation of the magnitude of Printpack India 2009.

Delhi state
is proud to offer to visitors a "Golden Triangle Tour" which
gives visitors a comfortable tour of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur on
a very economical tariff.
Taj Mahal,
one of the seven wonders of the world, is 203 kms away from
Delhi, is situated in Agra on the banks of Yamuna River. The
focus of the Taj Mahal is the white marble tomb, and this tomb
stands on a square plinth consisting of a building with an
iwan, an arch-shaped doorway, topped by a large dome. |
|
 |
Like most Mughal Tombs, the basis
elements are Persian in origin. The design is completely
symmetrical on all sides of the building-four minarets, one at
each corner of the building-four minarets, one at each corner of
the plinth. The main dome of the structure is crowned by a gilded
spire or finial. The finial, made of gold until the early 1800s,
is now made of bronze. The finial provides a
clear
example of integration of traditional Persian and Hindu decorative
elements. |
